Happy 2010

December 31, 2009

This is one of my favorite parts of the year–the busy rush is over, and I can look back and reflect on what a fabulous year I had. 2009 was full of some amazing sessions, and I am happy to share my favorite shot from most of them (I leave out the sessions of clients who did not sign a model release to allow me to use their images online). It is incredibly hard to chose a single image from each session, but I did it. Enjoy:

Thanks to all of my fabulous clients for the best year of my photography business so far!

83 days, can you believe it? If you know me well, you know that I am NOT one to keep a resolution. I gave up making resolutions years ago. Resolutions are usually things like dieting, exercising, giving up things…those are just not fun! This photo project has been a lot of fun, which is why I think I’m doing okay. I admit there have been days when I’ve taken the photo late, there have been a couple of times that I’ve used my cell-phone camera, and several times when I took a just plain crappy photo. However, this photo-a-day project is really causing me to get out my camera at times that I normally wouldn’t, thus I’m documenting a lot more in our personal lives! Also, some of the photos are macro, which I do enjoy but was not making time for before this project. I am forcing macro photography on my 24-70L and 85mm lenses, which are NOT macro lenses. I am looking to buy the 100mm or another good macro lens very soon! I’ve decided it will be my reward if I can make it six months into the project! Here’s today’s image…nothing special! Update

Sorry, I’m being a blog slacker. Between this blog, my 365 blog, and my personal one, I’m having trouble keeping up! Here’s a photo from today’s “blizzard”:
