Surely you will join in my excitement about my latest product: float wood wall portraits! I cannot wait to show these to my clients in person. The photo appears to “float” on the wall–it looks very clean and classy! I think these have surpassed my previous favorite, museum mounts.
Here you can get an idea of the “float” effect:

You can see that from the front they are nice and clean looking:

You cannot see the wood that creates the float effect unless you are flat against the wall:

These print itself is mounted on wood and has a slight beveled black edge (you can kind of see this in the first picture). I love them!
Another great option for a large print is the museum mount. Museum mounts are mounted on a 1/2″ thick frame edged in black. They are extremely lightweight–we have a 20×30″ museum mount hanging in our living room, and it’s hanging by just one little nail. They offer a clean, modern look, especially when hanging in sets.

My much-anticipated wall display: a 20×30 museum mount, with two 16×20 museum mounts on either side (the middle photo is not that bright in real life; I had to use flash). Thanks to everyone who helped me decide on this display. I vowed when creating that blog poll that I would order whichever option received the most votes, and I did. 75 votes later, option 2 won, and I LOVE IT! My husband says that you really have to like Evan to sit in our living room now! Haha! I just realized that I didn’t put my mantel back together before I took this–oops!

The fine art gallery wrapped canvas, which is the only mount in which the image wraps around the edges of the frame.

These mounted wall portraits cost more than the regular wall portraits (which are mounted on styrene), but remember they come ready to hang and you will not be investing in a frame. When you consider the cost of framing, they are actually quite a bit less expensive than unframed wall portraits.
A bit off topic, but I snapped a better shot of this tonight since I was doing product photography of the wall portraits: a brag book, which contains all of the photos from the session. I honestly have no idea how people can NOT order these! I love them, and I know if I had Evan’s photos taken I’d have to have this!

I will try to include pictures of some of my other products in the next few days. Stay tuned! Just for fun — Evan acting silly in the midst of my product photography:
