Pumpkin Patch

September 29, 2010

On Sunday, I took the kids to the pumpkin patch. One of the kids was very cooperative for pumpkin photos. One was not. See if you can figure out which was which.

I just want to freeze today forever…the kids are both at ages that I am enjoying SO MUCH. My friend tells me that every age is just better and better. I have a hard time believing she’s right, as now is pretty amazing and I can’t imagine it getting better, but I hope she is!

Teen Beauty {Senior Portraits}

September 27, 2010

Ahh, the beauty of this girl! She photographed so well and was so easy to pose. We did a few of her senior pictures at her friend’s parents’ house, and then on to one of my favorites–the bridge.

I think this is my favorite. Something about it, she just looks so relaxed and happy…

Her friend hopped in for a few. You probably remember seeing her here on the blog a few weeks ago!

Paint the Town

September 26, 2010

Last weekend was Paint the Town, one of my favorite events of the year. It’s such a fun day that starts off with the Harvest Hammer (5K/duathlon/kids’ races). After the races (Evan ran a mile in 9:10 and his dad got second in the 5K), we headed up town to start painting. I LOVE how well-organized and fun this event is. This year’s weather wasn’t the best, but it certainly wasn’t as bad as it could have been. It rained in the morning, and then cleared off for several hours, allowing the kids to paint. It rained again in the evening, which was unfortunate because it washed out a lot of the squares, but at least the kids were able to do the painting! On Sunday, they keep Main Street closed so people can walk around and see all of the squares. Here are a few shots we took of Paint the Town. Evan took most of the ones that he isn’t in with my little Olympus pocket camera.
