Models Needed!

July 22, 2009

I am in need of a couple of people to model for next week’s photography workshop.  I would need you at 6:00 next Tuesday, July 28.  I am guessing the part in which I will use models is about an hour, but I can’t say for sure.  I am willing to compensate my models by giving them a print credit from a past or future session (e-mail me for details on the amount if you’re interested). I will also give you the full-resolution files of the images I take that night, although I will be allowing the guests to have the good angles and possibly my good lenses, so these may not be portrait-quality images. All models will need to sign a model release (allowing us to use the images online).  Models can be adults, teens, children–anyone who enjoys being photographed! :)

The date is set! On Tuesday, July 28 at Morrison Institute of Technology, I am going to chit-chat with others in the area who are interested in photography and learning more about their SLR cameras. We will start at 6 p.m. and chat about things such how and when to use the different modes on your camera, how to get in-focus shots, and if we have time, more specific things such as finding good light, light temperature, etc. I do have a general plan, but I will structure what I talk about based on the questions asked and what people really want to learn. There will definitely be a lot of hands-on practice. You can’t learn a whole lot about your camera by listening to someone ramble on about it.

You don’t need to know ANYTHING about your camera to come. Or, maybe you already know tons and want to hang out with others who like photography–that’s fine too. My goal is to share some knowledge, get to know other photography hobbyists in the area, and have fun! If you are interested, click here to fill out some info: Workshop Form

It was cold, windy, and dark, but at the last minute the weather cleared up just a bit–right in time for us to take a few photos! Good thing, too, because this fabulous group was from out of town and I don’t think a make-up date would have been possible. The mom said they’d been at a farm all day and were tired and hungry, but based on the kids’ behavior, you sure wouldn’t know it! They were so good. SO GOOD.

Just look at this little man, hanging out on the fence railing…so cute!

The good looks run in the family–check out his beautiful big sis!

And together: WOW!

A few of them separately (Okay, maybe a lot. I can never decide which to share):
