My grandma wanted to take us to Dairy Queen for lunch today, and on a whim I grabbed my camera, as I’ve been wanting to get some good shots of her and Evan. Later on, my mom stopped by after work, and I even got in on a couple (with the help of the self-timer and some shots by Evan). Despite the fact that I’m looking pretty sloppy, Mom has her work uniform still on, and my grandma and Evan have ice cream, I LOVE these photos! They are so “us”. You don’t need the killer location for a great photo session. Photography isn’t about locations and outfits. It’s about being with the people you love and documenting the interaction! So, who wants a session at Morrison Dairy Queen? I actually am only partially kidding, as I think it would be super fun to do an engagement session there, with the couple sharing a sundae, or fries…
