I promise, I do other photography besides little girls in pettiskirts, but that’s been a theme this summer, and with good reason, because they’re TOO CUTE! These two traveled a bit to get here, and I’m so happy they did, as they’re both gorgeous and extremely photogenic girls! Of course, I have multiple favorites.

I think this is my new “signature” shot. I always try to get this one, as it’s my favorite right now.

10×20 ratio collages are so much fun! I love to print off little 5×10’s for myself and set them around–so cute! (all collages are mounted on styrene) 10×20’s are nice to hang on the wall and that frame size is not terribly uncommon. Here’s one my best-selling 10×20 ratio collage designs:

Miss J. introduced me to a new gorgeous location–Albany Indian Mounds! I actually taught fifth grade in Albany for three years and still had not been there. It’s has two of my favorite things–a path and a field!

Alex (my assistant), Miss J. and I got a big workout, as we went around the path a couple of times and stomped through some VERY tall grass! It was literally as tall as we were. Here are some of my favorites from the session.

Today I photographed tiny little 3-week-old P., and he was sooooo good! I just have to share one shot right away. More to come!

I’ve had a lot of little posers in my short stint as a photographer, but I’ve never had four girls at once who had as much personality as these girls do! I didn’t have to direct them at ALL–they just put on the charm! I’d point to a general area, they’d walk over and do things like this:

I so rarely take time to take photographs “just because” lately, but on Sunday, I sat and enjoyed nature a bit!

I have a love-hate relationship with bees. Or maybe it’s hate-love. I hate them so much, and they are the big thing that I’m terrified of, but at the same time, I find them fascinating.

A black swallowtail larva, which I was going to catch for Evan so we could watch it morph, but forgot!

for the camera nerds: all taken with my 85mm 1.8 at f/1.8, ISO 100 or 200 and shutter speed adjusted as needed.

My August is 100% booked (actually overbooked), and October is 100% full, as well. I have a few openings in September, but they are diminishing, although November is still looking pretty good. Don’t be afraid of November–last year the BEST fall colors were in November! Anyhow, if you are thinking of a fall session, you really need to call or e-mail me TODAY!

I did Belle & Jake’s summer pictures tonight, and I as I went through the RAW files, I knew I just HAD to share a couple ASAP. There is something very special about Belle…the camera LOVES her. I LOOOOVE her serious looks. Seriously, I think she could be a model!

And a sneak peak for their mom, who wasn’t sure we’d ever get Jake to smile! He was SO serious the first half-hour of our session. Finally, he warmed up to me, and he actually wanted to come home with me!
